About Got Next Basketball League

Got Next Basketball League (GNBL) is a non-profit basketball organization founded by Umair Sheikh in partnership with GBBL (Get Buckets Basketball League). With the support of GBBL, which provided the platform and foundation for GNBL to launch, our mission is to deliver a high-quality, inclusive, and competitive pickup basketball experience while building a strong and connected community both on and off the court.

What makes GNBL unique is our weekly draft system. Rather than playing with the same team each week, players are drafted onto new teams, creating opportunities to compete alongside and against a diverse group of individuals from different personal and professional backgrounds. This format keeps the game fresh and competitive while encouraging new connections, camaraderie, and a genuine sense of community.

GNBL is proudly volunteer-run and powered by individuals who are passionate about basketball and committed to creating a positive experience for everyone involved. Our goal extends beyond the game itself. We believe basketball can be a platform for bringing people together, building meaningful relationships, and making a positive impact in the communities we serve.

As part of that commitment, GNBL is proud to work alongside local charities and community organizations, using our platform to support meaningful causes and give back to the community.
